Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste drift toward coastlines and into the ocean. Most of it never gets processed into anything useful. Blue Eleven takes a different path: we buy ocean-bound plastic at the source, reformulate it, and press it into the rigid core of every plank we make.
80% recycled, 100% engineered
The number that matters is 80%. That is the share of recycled ocean-bound plastic in every Blue Eleven core board. The remaining 20% is the binder and stabiliser chemistry required to hit our dimensional and impact specifications. No virgin PVC is added for bulk.
This is not downcycling. The finished core meets or exceeds the same loading, flatness and moisture specifications as a conventional rigid core board. Independent lab data backs every claim.
Why this is hard to copy
Most “recycled content” flooring stops at 10–20% because consistency falls apart above that threshold. Blue Eleven gets to 80% because we built the formulation, the extrusion line, and the digital print process as one system. Change one, and the others compensate.
This vertical integration is why our sustainability story is a product story — not a marketing story.
